Arthur Batanides was an American actor and musician. He was born on April 9, 1923 in Tacoma, Washington. He began his career in the 1950s, appearing in television shows such as The Adventures of Superman, The Lone Ranger, and The Rifleman. He also appeared in films such as The Wild One, The Man Who Knew Too Much, and The Magnificent Seven. Batanides was also a musician, playing the saxophone and clarinet. He was a member of the jazz group The Four Freshmen, and released several albums with them. He also released several solo albums. Batanides passed away on August 8, 2019 at the age of 96. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and two grandchildren. His net worth at the time of his death was estimated to be around $2 million.
