Internationally, Arantxa has won a silver medal in Long Jump at the 2011 Central American and Caribbean Senior Track and Field Championships in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and multiple junior medals in Carifta, Pan American Games, and Central American and Caribbean games.
Arantxa has competed on behalf of Stanford University. She was an NCAA runner-up in 2010 and an All-American twice. She completed a degree in Political Science in 2011 and a master's degree in 2012 at Stanford.
Arantxa competed at the 4th IAAF World Youth Championships in Marrakech, Morocco, in 2005. With a best jump of 6.39 m, she won the World Youth title in women's Long Jump.
