Anto Antony is an Indian politician who is currently serving as the Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from the Pathanamthitta constituency in Kerala. He is a member of the Indian National Congress party. Anto Antony was born on 1 May 1957 in Moonnilavu, India. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Berchmans College, Changanassery. He then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Kerala. Anto Antony has been active in politics since the 1980s. He was first elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly in 1987 from the Pathanamthitta constituency. He was re-elected in 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006 and 2011. He was the Minister for Forests and Environment in the Government of Kerala from 2001 to 2006. Anto Antony was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2014 and 2019 from the Pathanamthitta constituency. He is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Home Affairs. Anto Antony is married to Dr. Mary Antony and they have two children.
