Puri made her television debut with the series Stories by Rabindranath Tagore (2015) in which she had an episodic role. In 2016, she portrayed the lead role of Harleen Kaur opposite Purab Kohli in the series P.O.W. - Bandi Yuddh Ke that aired on Star Plus. The show ended in 2017. In 2019, she was part of two web series – Four More Shots Please! (in which she played a supporting role) and Made In Heaven (in which she had an episodic role).

2014

After the failure of her first Bollywood film, Puri appeared opposite Kunal Khemu in Vishal Mahadkar's directorial debut—the crime thriller Blood Money (2012)—in which she portrayed the wife of Khemu's character. The film received mixed response from critics who watched it, and had a worldwide gross of ₹ 120 million (US$1.7 million) on a budget of ₹ 90 million (US$1.3 million), thus becoming an "average grosser". Puri next appeared in Abhishek Kapoor's buddy drama Kai Po Che! (2013) alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Rajkummar Rao. An adaptation of the novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life, she was cast as Vidya Bhatt, a district level cricketer's younger sister who falls in love with his best friend. The film proved to be a critical and commercial success with earnings of over ₹ 900 million (US$13 million) in worldwide ticket sales.

2010

After few auditions for many films, Puri made her Bollywood film debut with Rajshree Ojha's directed Aisha (2010). The romantic comedy, co-starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol, saw Puri portray the supporting character of Shefali Thakur, the friend of the titular lead Aisha (played by Kapoor). The film, as well as her performance, received mostly positive reviews, but with worldwide earnings of ₹ 28.65 crore (US$4.1 million) on a budget of ₹ 19 crore (US$2.7 million), the film proved to be a critical and commercial failure but earned Puri two nominations at the annual (55th) Filmfare Awards—Best Debut (Female) and Best Supporting Actor (Female).
