Shiv Pratap Shukla is an Indian lawyer and politician who is currently serving as the Minister of State for Finance in the Government of India. He was born on 1 April 1952 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Shiv Pratap Shukla completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Allahabad University in 1975. He started his career as a lawyer in the Allahabad High Court. He was elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1989 and served as a minister in the Kalyan Singh government. He was re-elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1991 and 1996. Shiv Pratap Shukla was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2014 from the Jaunpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh. He was re-elected to the Lok Sabha in 2019 from the same constituency. He was appointed as the Minister of State for Finance in the Government of India in 2019.
