Shamari Fears is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is best known as a member of the R&B group Blaque, which was formed in 1998. She has also released several solo singles, including "Can't Get Enough" and "I'm Good". Fears was born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She began singing at the age of four and was a member of the church choir. She attended the University of Georgia, where she studied music and theater. In 1998, Fears joined the R&B group Blaque, which was formed by her friend Natina Reed. The group released their self-titled debut album in 1999, which spawned the hit singles "808" and "Bring It All to Me". The group released their second album, Blaque Out, in 2001. In 2003, Fears released her debut solo single, "Can't Get Enough". The single peaked at number twenty-five on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. She released her second single, "I'm Good", in 2004. Fears has also appeared in several films, including Bring It On: All or Nothing (2006) and ATL (2006). In November 2018, DeVoe joined the cast of the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of Atlanta for the show's 11th season. On 24 May 2019, it was announced that for the show's 12th season, that DeVoe would only be appearing in a recurring capacity.
