Lee Remick was an American actress who had a successful career in film, television, and theater. She was born on December 14, 1935 in Quincy, Massachusetts. She began her career as a model and then moved to New York City to pursue an acting career. Remick made her film debut in 1957 in A Face in the Crowd. She went on to appear in a number of films, including Anatomy of a Murder (1959), The Long, Hot Summer (1958), The Omen (1976), and The Children's Hour (1961). She also appeared in several television series, including The Twilight Zone, The Fugitive, and The Eleventh Hour. Remick won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her performance in The Omen. She was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Days of Wine and Roses (1962). Remick died of cancer on July 2, 1991 at the age of 55. At the time of her death, she had an estimated net worth of $10 million.

A very weak, almost unrecognizable Lee made one of her last public appearances on April 29, 1991, to receive her star on the "Hollywood Walk of Fame." In the last stages of her kidney cancer, her face was extremely bloated by the chemo treatments she was receiving. Jack Lemmon, her Days of Wine and Roses (1962) co-star, was at the ceremony to lend love and support. She died two months later on July 2nd.

1990

Received the Women's International Center (WIC) Living Legacy Award in 1990.

1989

Discovered she had tumors on her kidneys and lungs while filming in France in 1989. She had a remission in 1990 before the cancer returned again.
