Frank Blair was an American actor best known for his role as Lt. Bob Anderson on the television series "Dragnet." He was born on May 30, 1915 in Yamassee, South Carolina. Blair began his career in the 1930s, appearing in a number of films and television shows. He was a regular on the television series "Dragnet" from 1952 to 1959. He also appeared in the films "The Big Sleep" (1946), "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (1956), and "The Magnificent Seven" (1960). Blair was married to actress and singer Dorothy Lamour from 1941 to 1945. He was married to actress and singer June Haver from 1945 to 1951. Blair died on July 9, 1995 in Los Angeles, California. He was 80 years old.
