Bigas Luna was a Spanish film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, and began his career as a graphic designer and illustrator. He later moved into film, directing his first feature film, "Tatuaje," in 1977. He went on to direct a number of critically acclaimed films, including "Jamón, Jamón" (1992), "The Tit and the Moon" (1994), and "Son de Mar" (2001). He also wrote and produced several films, including "The Ages of Lulu" (1990) and "The Chambermaid on the Titanic" (1997). Bigas Luna died in 2013 at the age of 67.
