Andy Stovold is a former English cricketer who played for Gloucestershire and Somerset. He was born on 19 March 1953 in Southmead, Bristol. Stovold was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He made his first-class debut for Gloucestershire in 1975 and went on to play for the county until 1983. He then moved to Somerset, where he played until his retirement in 1988. In his first-class career, Stovold scored 4,945 runs at an average of 24.90, with a highest score of 135 not out. He also took 79 wickets at an average of 37.90, with a best of 5 for 33. Stovold is currently the coach of the Gloucestershire Second XI. He is also a qualified cricket umpire.
