Stoliarov began his professional career in 1995 with HC Sochi, playing in the Russian Superleague. He then moved to the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in 2008, where he has played for HC Sochi, HC Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, and HC Spartak Moscow. Stoliarov has represented Russia at the World Championships in 2008, 2009, and 2010. He has also represented Russia at the Winter Olympics in 2010 and 2014. Stoliarov is married and has two children.
