Álex Angulo is a Spanish actor and producer. He is best known for his roles in the films Pan's Labyrinth (2006), The Sea Inside (2004), and The Orphanage (2007). He has also appeared in television series such as Cuéntame cómo pasó and El Comisario. Angulo was born in Erandio, Vizcaya, País Vasco, Spain. He studied at the Escuela de Arte Dramático de Madrid. He began his career in the theater, and later moved to television and film. Angulo has appeared in over 50 films and television series. He won the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Sea Inside. He was also nominated for the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Pan's Labyrinth. Angulo is married to actress María Galiana. They have two children.
