Adam Alexander is an American television announcer who was born on April 30, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN. He is best known for his work as a play-by-play announcer for NASCAR on Fox and NBC Sports. Alexander began his career in broadcasting in the late 1970s, working as a sports anchor and reporter for WISH-TV in Indianapolis. He then moved to WFAA-TV in Dallas, where he worked as a sports anchor and reporter from 1980 to 1984. Alexander joined ESPN in 1984, where he worked as a play-by-play announcer for college football and basketball, as well as Major League Baseball. He also served as a play-by-play announcer for the NBA on NBC from 1990 to 2002. In 2001, Alexander joined Fox Sports, where he served as a play-by-play announcer for NASCAR races. He also served as a play-by-play announcer for the NFL on Fox from 2002 to 2006. Alexander currently serves as a play-by-play announcer for NASCAR on NBC. He also serves as a play-by-play announcer for the IndyCar Series on NBC. Alexander has an estimated net worth of $2 million.
