Abubakar Dzukogi is a Nigerian educator and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri. He was born in 1956 in Borno State, Nigeria. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Maiduguri in 1979 and a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Ibadan in 1982. He also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry from the University of Ibadan in 1988. Dzukogi has held various positions in the academic and administrative fields. He was the Head of Department of Chemistry at the University of Maiduguri from 1988 to 1992. He was also the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Maiduguri from 1992 to 1996. He was appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri in 1996 and served in that capacity until 2002. Dzukogi has also served as a member of the Governing Council of the National Universities Commission (NUC) from 2000 to 2002. He was also a member of the Governing Council of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) from 2002 to 2004. As of 2021, Abubakar Dzukogi's net worth is estimated to be roughly $1 million.
