Zintis Ekmanis is a Latvian bobsledder who was born on 17 May, 1958 in Pabaži, Latvia. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a silver medal in the four-man event at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, and a bronze medal in the two-man event at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville. He also won a bronze medal in the four-man event at the 1989 FIBT World Championships in Winterberg. Ekmanis began his bobsleigh career in the late 1970s, and competed in his first Olympics in 1984. He was part of the Latvian team that won the silver medal in the four-man event at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. He also competed in the two-man event at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, where he won a bronze medal. Ekmanis retired from bobsleigh in 1994, and since then has worked as a coach and technical director for the Latvian Bobsleigh Federation. He is currently the president of the Latvian Bobsleigh Federation. As of 2021, Zintis Ekmanis's net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
