Vivian Blaine was an American actress and singer best known for her role as Miss Adelaide in the Broadway musical Guys and Dolls. She began her career as a nightclub singer in the 1940s, and made her Broadway debut in the musical revue Three to Make Ready in 1946. She went on to appear in several Broadway musicals, including High Button Shoes, Wish You Were Here, and Fanny. She also appeared in the film version of Guys and Dolls in 1955. Blaine died in 1995 at the age of 73.
