Norris was born in Massachusetts, and grew up in suburban San Diego. During high school, Norris started the band Allstar Weekend with friends. Allstar Weekend gained popularity through Radio Disney’s “The Next Big Thing” competition and was subsequently offered a record deal with Hollywood Records. Shortly before signing, Norris left the band to attend college at UC Berkeley, stating that while Allstar Weekend was a “huge learning experience,” he enjoyed “being in a studio far more than performing.” He is credited with co-writing and producing a bulk of Suddenly, the band’s debut EP, which peaked at number 62 on the Billboard 200. At UC Berkeley, Norris studied linguistics, and in his free time, began learning more advanced music production and sound design in programs FL Studio and Ableton. He gained online popularity through his SoundCloud profile, getyoursnackon, and various Reddit music threads, where users enjoyed his close remakes of popular songs.
In 2019, Norris mixed and mastered tracks for Ascend, the third studio album by American DJ and producer Illenium. The album peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

Norris is credited with mixing, co-producing, engineering, and mastering a number of Skrillex-tied projects including remixes of Kendrick Lamar’s Humble, Travis Scott’s Sicko Mode, Ekali’s Babylon, and Pendulum’s The Island Pt. 1, singles such as From First To Last’s Surrender, Face My Fears with Hikaru Utada for the opening theme song to the video game Kingdom Hearts III, and music for EPs including The Weeknd's My Dear Melancholy, Ed Sheeran's No.6 Collaborations Project, Dog Blood's Turn Off the Lights, and more. In 2019, Norris earned his second Grammy Award nomination for mixing, under the category of Best Dance Recording, for his work on Midnight Hour by Skrillex, Ty Dolla $ign, and Boys Noize.
