Tobias Preisig is a Swiss jazz violinist, composer, and producer. He is best known for his work with the band 4 Wheel Drive, which he founded in 2002. Preisig has released several solo albums, including his debut album, "Tobias Preisig", in 2004. He has also collaborated with a number of other artists, including the likes of Nils Petter Molvaer, Bugge Wesseltoft, and Eivind Aarset. Preisig was born in Zürich, Switzerland, and began playing the violin at the age of five. He studied classical music at the Zurich Conservatory of Music, and later studied jazz at the Jazz School in Bern. He has since gone on to become one of the most respected jazz violinists in Europe.
