Timothy J. Cox

Cox and his wife Jamie Barlow are expecting their first child, due December 2017.

Appeared in numerous plays at NYC's 13th Street Repertory Theatre Company with actors like Brianna Hansen, Liche Ariza, Nixon Cesar, Greg Vorob, Jason Godbey, Kyle Pierson and John Samuel Jordan.

In September 2012, became engaged to his girlfriend of one year, Jamie Barlow.

Earned critical raves in the New York premiere of playwright Martin Blank's black comedy ''Avenue of the Americas''. [February 2011]

For the film Jack Jimminy: The Story of a Pornstar Extra (2010), Cox shaved his hair on top to make himself look older as Richard, the retired adult film star and father of the title character.

Appearing as Leonato in Queens Shakespeare's revival of the Shakespeare comedy "Much Ado About Nothing". [November 2009]

Cox has been directed by actor Lawrence Lesher in 11 stage productions since 2006.

From 2001-2004, Cox studied and worked with acting teacher / director Stanley Harrison, who focused on the teachings and methods of Michael Chekhov.

Attended St. Mark's High School in Wilmington, DE from 1991 to 1995. During those years, he appeared on stage with 30 Rock (2006) cast member Keith Powell.

Favorite movies are: The Godfather (1972), The Godfather: Part II (1974), The Big Lebowski (1998),The Sting (1973) and It's a Wonderful Life (1946).

During this time the actor saw two performances on film that inspired him to make acting his life's work, Jack Lemmon in Days of Wine and Roses (1962) and Donald Sutherland in Ordinary People (1980). Both performances, especially Lemmon's (one of the actor's many idols) had a profound effect on the young actor. Mr. Cox continued his acting studies at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio and appeared in numerous plays, many of them classical works by the likes of Shakespeare, Moliere, Feydeau and Sophocles.
