Tim Curry is an English actor, singer, and composer best known for his roles in the cult classic films The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Clue, and It. He has also appeared in numerous television shows and films, including The Wild Thornberrys, The Worst Witch, and The Three Musketeers. Curry was born in Grappenhall, Warrington, Cheshire, England, to Patricia (née Preece) and James Curry. He has two older sisters, Judy and Gillian. He attended Kingswood School in Bath, Somerset, and later studied drama at the University of Birmingham. Curry studied Drama and English at Birmingham University, from which he graduated with Combined Honors. His first professional success was in the London production of "Hair", followed by more work in the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Glasgow Civic Repertory Company, and the Royal Court Theatre where he created the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in "The Rocky Horror Show".
