Randall began her career as a child actress, appearing in a number of films and television shows. She is best known for her role as Miss Landers on Leave It to Beaver, which she played from 1957 to 1963. She also appeared in a number of other television shows, including The Donna Reed Show, The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, and The Munsters. In addition to her acting career, Randall was also a singer. She released a number of singles in the 1960s, including "I'm Gonna Be a Star" and "I'm Gonna Be a Teenage Idol". Randall has been married twice. Her first marriage was to actor Robert Foulk, with whom she had two children. Her second marriage was to actor and director Robert Altman, with whom she had one child. Was a heavy smoker for years and eventually was diagnosed with lung and larynx cancer in 1982. Following treatments for the malignancies, including the removal of her larynx, she died in Philadelphia on October 26, 1984 just 2 weeks after her 49th birthday. In accordance with her wishes, her body was donated for medical science to the Humanity Gifts Registry in Philadelphia.
