Sean O'Neill is an Irish professional footballer who currently plays for League of Ireland Premier Division side Derry City. He was born on 20 January 1981 in Derry, Northern Ireland. O'Neill began his career with Derry City in 1999, making his debut in a League of Ireland Cup match against Shelbourne. He went on to make over 200 appearances for the club, scoring 24 goals. He was part of the Derry City team that won the League of Ireland Premier Division in 2006 and the FAI Cup in 2006 and 2012. O'Neill has also represented the Republic of Ireland at U21 level, making his debut in a friendly against Scotland in 2002. O'Neill is married to his wife, Sarah, and they have two children. Sean O’Neill was born in Daisy Hill in Newry, Northern Ireland. The only son of Rory O’Neill and Rosemary Rooney. He was raised on a family farm by his grandmother.

At the age of 11, O’Neill entered his first business by selling fireworks. From an initial capital of £40, O’Neill successfully made £2000 in the first 2 months. He continued growing his business and made a fortune by the age of 14 and decided to leave school.

O’Neill's love of snooker started to develop after his father bought him his first snooker table at the age of 4.

O’Neill continued to prosper in 2001, when he was ranked No 2 in the world junior championships, he also won 4 major ranking competitions: Fountain Classic; Northern Ireland Under 21 Championship; Northern Ireland Senior Championship; and Pontins Autumn Champion; all in the same year.

After all the successful years O’Neill shocked the snooker world and decided to retire from professional snooker at the age of 23. He missed the business life and believed he had potential to become recognised globally for his business acumen and ability to mentor and advise others.

After his decision to return to the business world, O’Neill launched Adore Group of companies. His problem-solver character and his phenomenal skill to overcome complex challenges in business have led to almost 18 years of success in managing several businesses in the United Kingdom. He specialises in fundamental analysis and investing, with experience in asset allocation, investment strategy, facilities management, and property management.

O’Neill currently resides in Liverpool, England. His hobby includes, CrossFit, Boxing, Running and Collecting supercars, owning a Rolls Royce Ghost, McLaren 650s, McLaren 650s Can Am and Porsche GT2.

O'Neill won every junior and senior title available in Northern Ireland, and with a Republic of Ireland passport, he was accepted in the RIBSA events. He responded by winning the sixth Irish ranking event in 2003.
