Rod Delmonico is an American baseball coach who has been in the sport for over 40 years. He is currently the head coach of the University of Tennessee baseball team. He was born on May 14, 1958 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Delmonico attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he played baseball and earned a degree in physical education. He then went on to coach at the University of South Carolina, where he was the head coach from 1988 to 1994. He then moved on to the University of Tennessee, where he has been the head coach since 1995. Delmonico has had a successful career as a coach, leading the Volunteers to the College World Series in 2001 and 2005. He has also been named the SEC Coach of the Year three times and the National Coach of the Year in 2001. Delmonico has an estimated net worth of $2 million. Delmonico was head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers baseball team from 1990 until 2007, when he was released from his contract. He returned to Florida State as a volunteer assistant coach, then joined Florida International University as an assistant coach. He was named manager of the Netherlands national baseball team and managed the team in the 2009 World Baseball Classic.
