During his debut season in the Honkbal Hoofdklasse in 1999, Cordemans won his first Pitcher of the Year award while playing for Kinheim. His 14–2 win-loss record and 2.20 ERA led the league.

He is a finesse pitcher, and he throws a mid- to upper-80s fastball and an upper-70s changeup.
