Riitta Uosukainen is a Finnish politician who served as the Minister of Social Affairs and Health from 1995 to 1999. She was born on 18 June 1942 in Viipuri Province, Finland. She is 79 years old. Uosukainen studied at the University of Helsinki, where she earned a Master of Laws degree in 1967. She then worked as a lawyer and a civil servant in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. Uosukainen was elected to the Finnish Parliament in 1983 and served as a Member of Parliament until 2003. She was appointed Minister of Social Affairs and Health in 1995 and served until 1999.
