He is known for his work on Leave It to the Irish (1944), The Cosmic Man (1959) and Woman Trap (1936). He was married to Sarah Cordelia Marsh.


As head of Hal Roach Studios editing department from 1920 to 1932, Currier was the credited editor of virtually all the company's releases during that period (Laurel & Hardy, "Our Gang", etc.). Currier claimed he was abruptly fired by Roach general manager Henry Ginsberg for refusing Ginsberg's demand that he spy on co-workers suspected of wasting studio money. He later worked for Paramount and Monogram before starting his own production company.
