Randy Meisner is an American musician, singer, and songwriter best known as a founding member of the Eagles. He was born on March 8, 1946, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He began playing music at an early age, and by the time he was a teenager, he was playing in local bands. Meisner joined the Eagles in 1971 and was a key member of the band until 1977. He wrote and sang lead vocals on the hit single "Take It to the Limit," which reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He also wrote and sang lead vocals on the Eagles' hit "Peaceful Easy Feeling." Meisner left the Eagles in 1977 and released his first solo album, Randy Meisner, in 1978. He released two more solo albums in the 1980s, but none of them achieved the success of his work with the Eagles. In the 1990s, Meisner reunited with the Eagles for a series of reunion tours. He also released a live album, Live at the Roxy, in 1998. Meisner has an estimated net worth of $20 million.
