In 1964, he wrote and recorded the song "Io Che Non Vivo (Senza Te)", the original version of Dusty Springfield's song "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me".


He has participated in ten editions of the Sanremo Festival getting a 3rd place in 1963 with the song "Giovane giovane" and a 4th place in 1966 with the song "Una casa in cima al mondo".
