Phyllis Alexion is an American actress who has appeared in numerous films and television shows. She is best known for her roles in the films The Godfather Part II (1974), The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974), and The Stepford Wives (1975). Alexion was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 28, 1923. She began her career in the theater, appearing in productions of The Glass Menagerie and The Crucible. She made her film debut in the 1972 drama The Godfather Part II, playing the role of Mama Corleone. In 1974, Alexion appeared in the crime thriller The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, and the following year she starred in the science fiction horror film The Stepford Wives. She also had roles in the films The Boys from Brazil (1978), The Rose (1979), and The World According to Garp (1982). In addition to her film work, Alexion has appeared in numerous television shows, including The Rockford Files, The Streets of San Francisco, and The Love Boat. She has also had guest roles on shows such as The Golden Girls, Murder, She Wrote, and Law & Order. Alexion is currently retired from acting. She lives in Los Angeles, California.
