Paul Shortino is an American rock singer and musician. He was born on May 14, 1953 in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his work with the bands Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot, and King Kobra. Shortino began his career in the early 1980s as the lead singer of the Los Angeles-based band Rough Cutt. The band released two albums, Rough Cutt (1985) and Wants You! (1986). He then joined Quiet Riot in 1986, replacing Kevin DuBrow, and recorded the album QR III (1988). He left the band in 1989 and was replaced by former Ozzy Osbourne vocalist, Paul Rodgers. Shortino then formed the band King Kobra in 1989 and released two albums, King Kobra (1989) and Thrill of a Lifetime (1991). He left the band in 1992 and formed the band Shortino/Lawless. The band released one album, Shortino/Lawless (1993). Shortino has also released two solo albums, Back on Track (1999) and Shortino (2003).
