Mohd Jidin Shafee is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Terengganu constituency since 2008. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and is currently the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries. Shafee was born in Terengganu on 4 April 1955. He received his early education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sultan Sulaiman in Kuala Terengganu and Sekolah Menengah Sultan Sulaiman in Kuala Terengganu. He then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur. Shafee began his political career in 1982 when he was elected as a member of the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly. He was re-elected in 1986 and 1990. In 1995, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries. He was re-elected to the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly in 1999 and 2004. In 2008, Shafee was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Terengganu constituency. He was re-elected in 2013 and 2018. He is currently the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries. Shafee is married to Noraini binti Ismail and they have four children.
