Milton Ager was an American composer and songwriter who wrote some of the most popular songs of the 1920s and 1930s. He was born on October 6, 1893 in Chicago, Illinois. He began his career as a pianist and arranger for vaudeville acts, and later wrote songs for Broadway musicals. He is best known for writing the songs "Ain't She Sweet" and "Happy Days Are Here Again". Ager was a prolific composer, writing over 500 songs during his career. He wrote for many of the top singers of the day, including Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, and Judy Garland. He also wrote the theme song for the popular radio show "The Jack Benny Program". Ager was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970. He died on May 6, 1979 in Los Angeles, California.
