Michael Rosenberg is an American businessman and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of the investment firm M.D. Sass Investors Services, Inc. He was born on March 7, 1954 in New York City. Rosenberg graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1976 with a degree in economics. He then went on to earn an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1979. Rosenberg began his career in the financial services industry in 1979, when he joined the investment banking firm of Lehman Brothers. He then moved to the investment firm of Oppenheimer & Co. in 1982, where he served as a managing director. In 1984, Rosenberg founded M.D. Sass Investors Services, Inc., an investment firm specializing in distressed debt and special situations. The firm has since grown to become one of the largest independent investment firms in the United States. Rosenberg is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of New York. He is also a trustee of the American Museum of Natural History and a member of the board of directors of the New York Philharmonic. Rosenberg is married to his wife, Susan, and they have two children. As of 2021, Michael Rosenberg's net worth is estimated to be $1.2 billion.
