Maxime Raymond Bock is a Canadian writer and poet. He was born in 1981 in Montreal, Canada. He is best known for his poetry collections, including "The Book of Hours" (2009) and "The Book of Days" (2011). He has also written several novels, including "The Last Days of the City" (2013) and "The Book of the Dead" (2015). Bock studied at the University of Montreal and the University of Toronto, where he earned a Master's degree in English Literature. He has taught creative writing at the University of Toronto and the University of Ottawa. Bock has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Governor General's Award for Poetry in 2009, the Trillium Book Award in 2011, and the Prix des Libraires du Quebec in 2013. He has also been nominated for the Griffin Poetry Prize and the Scotiabank Giller Prize. Bock currently lives in Toronto, Canada. He is married and has two children.
