Mark A. Mangini is an American sound designer and sound editor who has worked on over 100 films and television shows. He has won two Academy Awards for Best Sound Editing for Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) and Blade Runner 2049 (2017). He has also been nominated for an Emmy Award for his work on the television series Westworld (2016-2018). Mangini was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in the nearby town of Waltham. He attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he studied music and film. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in sound design. Mangini has worked on a variety of films, including The Matrix (1999), The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), The Aviator (2004), The Dark Knight (2008), and Inception (2010). He has also worked on television shows such as Westworld, The X-Files, and The Walking Dead. Mangini is married to fellow sound designer and editor Ren Klyce. They have two children.
