She sang backing vocals on the group's albums Soul Revolution and Catch a Fire, and toured with them in the United States and Europe. Griffiths left the Wailers in 1974 and began a solo career. Her first solo single, "Feel Like Jumping", was released in 1975 and became a hit in Jamaica. She released her debut album, Naturally, in 1976, and followed it with Sweet Bitter Love in 1977. In 1979, she released the single "Electric Boogie", which became a worldwide hit and earned her the nickname "Queen of Electric Boogie". Griffiths has continued to record and perform throughout her career, releasing albums such as Steppin' and Reggae Legends. She has also collaborated with other reggae artists such as Bunny Wailer, Beres Hammond, and Toots Hibbert. In 2013, she was awarded the Order of Distinction by the Jamaican government for her contribution to the music industry.
