Timeline

2013

When the whole country was getting ready for General Elections 2014, Pandey was given the responsibility of State President of Bihar's party unit on 18 January 2013. This was the test of his capacity of performance under extreme pressure. After joining the office, his first dare devil approach was marked in State working Committee Meeting at Gaya in 2013. Wherein Pandey passed a resolution and officially asked the national president, Rajnath Singh to fight 2014 General Elections in leadership of Narendra Modi. This came as surprise to senior leadership as Bihar unit was the first to ask so. Election campaign in Bihar was started by “Hunkar Rally” on 27 Oct 2013 at historical Gandhi Maidan where a head count of more than seven lakh people was recorded. While rally was proceeding, a serial blast took place killing 6 and injuring 108 people. Pandey made sure that all deceased were treated as martyrs and made statue in their respective villages. He also made sure that all injured are treated on party expense. Few of them are still under treatment. This generous act made him earn huge respect among party ranks and cadres. Party won with thumping majority in 2014 General Election and NDA almost did a clean sweep winning 31 out of 40 seats in Bihar. Another test was MLC elections of 2015 for 24 seats. Here, too, Pandey spearheaded a clean win over 13 seats. Failure in Bihar assembly elections is the only setback Pandey has had in his political career.
