Mack Gordon

Father of Jack Gordon who spent 44 years as a distribution and international executive at MGM who ended his career as president of MGM/UA International from 1983 until his retirement in 1997.

Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970.

Starting in vaudeville as an actor, and then as a lyricist, he later teamed with pianist Harry Revel. Following their contributions to the 1931 Ziegfeld Follies, Paramount offered them a contract.

Mack Gordon's family emigrated to New York in about 1908.
