She began her career in the 1930s, appearing in films such as The Big Broadcast of 1936 and The Great Ziegfeld. She also appeared in television shows such as The Twilight Zone and The Andy Griffith Show. Lucille Benson was married to actor and director Robert Montgomery from 1940 until his death in 1981. She had two children with him, Elizabeth and Robert. Lucille Benson died on April 28, 1999 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 84. Her net worth at the time of her death is unknown.
