She has won numerous awards, including two Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, and a Grammy Award. Tomlin began her career as a stand-up comedian and later starred in several television shows, including Laugh-In, Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, and The West Wing. She has also appeared in films such as 9 to 5, All of Me, and I Heart Huckabees. Tomlin has been married to writer and producer Jane Wagner since 2013. She has one daughter, Mary Jean Tomlin, from her first marriage to writer and director Robert Kline. Tomlin is an advocate for LGBT rights and has been a vocal supporter of same-sex marriage. She is also an advocate for animal rights and has been a vegetarian since the 1970s.
