In 2011 she attended the wedding of her cousin Prince William, Duke of Cambridge to Catherine Middleton. In 2018 Lady Marina and her siblings were reportedly not invited to the wedding of their cousin Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex to Meghan Markle.

She is a maternal descendant of the Austrian Tomaselli family. Lady Marina is named after her great-grandmother Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark.
