Kalyanji Veerji Shah was an Indian composer, music director, and producer. He was born in Kundrodi, Kutch, Gujarat, India. He is best known for his work in the Hindi film industry, particularly for his work in the 1970s and 1980s. He composed music for over 100 films, including some of the biggest hits of the time such as Don, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Hum Kisise Kum Naheen. He also composed music for several television serials, including Mahabharat and Ramayan. Kalyanji Veerji Shah was a pioneer in the use of synthesizers in Indian film music. He was also a master of the tabla and was known for his innovative use of percussion instruments in his compositions. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1992 for his contribution to Indian music. Kalyanji Veerji Shah passed away on 24 August, 2000 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He was 72 years old.
