John Aniston is an American actor best known for his role as Victor Kiriakis on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives. He was born Yannis Anastassakis on July 24, 1933 in Chania, Crete, Greece. He is the father of actress Jennifer Aniston. Aniston began his career in the entertainment industry in the 1960s, appearing in various television shows and films. He made his soap opera debut in 1975 on the ABC soap opera Search for Tomorrow. He then went on to appear in the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless in 1982. In 1985, Aniston joined the cast of Days of Our Lives as Victor Kiriakis, a role he has played for over 30 years. He has also appeared in films such as The Bounty Hunter (2010), Just Go with It (2011), and Horrible Bosses (2011). Aniston has been married twice. His first marriage was to Sherry Rooney from 1965 to 1980. He then married actress Nancy Dow in 1981, with whom he has a daughter, Jennifer Aniston. The couple divorced in 1988.
