Mai was on the initial panel of co-hosts of the syndicated daytime talk show, The Real, alongside Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, Tamera Mowry, and Tamar Braxton, which premiered on July 15, 2013. It had a trial summer run during 2013 on the Fox Television Stations group under consideration for a full launch in fall 2014. The show was approved to return September 15, 2014. She and her co-hosts have won two NAACP Image Awards and a Daytime Emmy Award for their work. In 2015, Mai was host of the reality competition Steampunk'd on GSN.
