James Begley is an Australian rules footballer who was born on 22 July, 1980 in Australia. He currently plays for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Begley began his career in the AFL in 2000, when he was drafted by the West Coast Eagles with the 11th pick in the AFL Draft. He made his debut in the 2001 season and has since gone on to become one of the most consistent players in the league. In his career, Begley has played in over 200 games for the Eagles, and has been a part of two premiership teams. He has also been named in the All-Australian team twice, and has won the club's best and fairest award in 2006. Off the field, Begley is married to his wife, Sarah, and they have two children together.
