She is best known for her work on the television series 'De Fabeltjeskrant' (The Fabletown Gazette) and 'De Fabeltjeskrant: De Film' (The Fabletown Gazette: The Movie). Van Ditshuyzen began her career in the 1960s as a production assistant for Dutch television. She then moved on to become a producer and director for the Dutch television series 'De Fabeltjeskrant'. She also wrote and directed the feature film 'De Fabeltjeskrant: De Film' in 1995. Van Ditshuyzen has won numerous awards for her work, including the Dutch Film Award for Best Children's Film in 1995 and the Dutch Film Award for Best Children's Television Series in 1996.
