Honeyboy Edwards is an American blues guitarist and singer. He was born in Shaw, Mississippi, on June 28, 1915. He is best known for his work with blues legends such as Robert Johnson, Big Joe Williams, and Sonny Boy Williamson. Edwards began playing guitar at the age of 14 and soon became a regular performer at local juke joints. He was a close friend of Robert Johnson and was present at Johnson's death in 1938. He later moved to Chicago and performed with Big Joe Williams and Sonny Boy Williamson. In the 1950s, Edwards moved to St. Louis and began performing with the likes of Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf. He also recorded several albums for the Delmark label. In the 1990s, Edwards was rediscovered by the blues revival scene and began performing at festivals and clubs around the world. He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2006. Honeyboy Edwards is estimated to have a net worth of $1 million. He has earned his wealth through his career as a blues musician.
