Frank De Vol was an American composer, arranger, and conductor who worked in the music industry for over six decades. He composed music for over 300 films and television shows, including the theme song for the television series The Brady Bunch. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on the film Cat Ballou. De Vol was born in Moundsville, West Virginia, and began playing the piano at the age of five. He studied music at the University of Michigan and the Eastman School of Music. He began his career as a pianist and arranger for the CBS Radio Network in the 1930s. De Vol composed music for over 300 films and television shows, including the theme song for the television series The Brady Bunch. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on the film Cat Ballou. He also composed the music for the television series The Addams Family and The Doris Day Show. De Vol was married to actress and singer Kaye Ballard from 1954 until his death in 1999. He died in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 87.
