Emilio Estevez is an American actor, director, and writer. He is the brother of actor Charlie Sheen and the son of actor Martin Sheen. He began his career as an actor and is best known for being a member of the Brat Pack of the 1980s, starring in The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo's Fire, and other films. Estevez was born on May 12, 1962, in Staten Island, New York. He is the eldest son of actor Martin Sheen and artist Janet Templeton. He has two younger brothers, Carlos Irwin and Ramon Antonio, and a younger sister, Renée Estevez. Estevez began his acting career in the early 1980s, appearing in films such as Tex, The Outsiders, and The Breakfast Club. He also starred in St. Elmo's Fire, Young Guns, and its sequel, Young Guns II. He also directed the films Men at Work, The War at Home, and Bobby. Estevez has been married twice. He was married to singer-songwriter Paula Abdul from 1992 to 1994, and to model Carey Salley from 1995 to 1996.
