She attended Bard College, where she studied music and composition. Storey released her debut solo album, The Big Picture, in 2011. The album was praised for its lush production and intricate arrangements. She followed it up with her second album, The Bigger Picture, in 2014. Storey has collaborated with a variety of artists, including The National, The War on Drugs, and The Walkmen. She has also composed music for film and television, including the score for the Netflix series, The OA. Storey currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. She continues to write and record music, and perform live.
